About HOME
HOME is a site-specific audiovisual installation and live performance exploring the shifting meaning of home, memory, and belonging.
Rather than approaching home as a fixed physical location, the work understands it as a continuously evolving condition shaped by personal experiences, human presence, sound, and the spaces we inhabit.
Developed in dialogue with the festival theme OUT/SIDE/IN, HOME questions the boundaries between inside and outside, private and public, familiarity and displacement.
Through architectural projections, fragmented imagery, immersive soundscapes, and bodily interaction, the installation creates an environment where different spatial and emotional realities coexist.
HOME exists as an independent audiovisual installation, periodically activated by live performances. These two forms are interconnected yet autonomous, allowing the work to evolve through changing relationships between image, sound, body, and space.
Live Performance
The live performance introduces the human body as an active element within HOME’s audiovisual environment.
Three performers inhabit the projected space through intuitive movements, responding to sound, architectural surroundings, and one another.
Using contact microphones, internal bodily rhythms such as breath, heartbeat, and vibrations become audible, merging with the existing soundscape and transforming the acoustic environment.
As bodies move through the projections, the distinction between physical presence and projected imagery becomes increasingly ambiguous. The performers alternately merge with, interrupt, and reshape the visual environment.
Rather than following a predetermined narrative or choreography, the performance unfolds through listening, interaction, and shared presence.
The performance transforms HOME into a temporary collective experience, where the boundaries between the individual and the surrounding space are continuously negotiated.

Visual Installation

The visual installation of HOME explores architecture as a fragmented landscape of memories, experiences, and human relationships.
Through an evolving collage of buildings, windows, facades, domestic interiors, and everyday urban scenes, familiar architectural environments are deconstructed and reassembled into imagined spaces.
Interiors merge with exterior landscapes, windows reveal unexpected environments, and architectural structures overlap in ways that challenge conventional spatial perception.
The visual compositions move between reality and surrealism, reflecting the unstable and personal nature of belonging. Places that appear familiar gradually transform into environments that resist geographical or emotional definition.
Accompanied by field recordings and analogue synthesizers, the projected imagery creates an immersive atmosphere in which visual and sonic elements continuously reshape the perception of space.
Rather than representing a particular home or geographical location, the installation invites viewers to consider home as an evolving relationship between memory, identity, and the spaces we inhabit.
Installation — Video Artworks
The following videos present the original moving-image artworks developed for HOME’s visual installation.
These audiovisual compositions were created as projection material within the installation and are presented here in their original video format, rather than as recordings of the physical exhibition space.
